Community rallies to save St. Johns River Ferry
JACKSONVILLE, Fla - A community will rally together this weekend to help save the Mayport Ferry. The goal is to raise awareness about the important role it plays in the lives of commuters, bicyclists and pedestrians.
According to supporters, the ferry is a North Florida transportation icon and serves the community and supports tourism.
Ferry Fest will take place on Saturday, August 25th from 1pm to 9pm at the Mayport Village, right across from the ferry. It is free and open to the public. Come out for a fun day and be a part of jacksonville's history. Log on to
