FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. -- The Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival is just one day away from celebrating shrimpers and today Action News is on a boat.

Capt. Mike Adams, who has been on Action News before when he took Gov. Rick Scott out to shrimp, said any chance he has to talk about shrimping, he will gladly go out.

Adams says shrimp season starts June 1, but the significance of the festival is the Blessing of the Fleet. He always hopes for a good season.

"It takes two months, June and July, before I even start making money," he said.

Adams has been shrimping since 1974.
