Congress tries to make filing taxes easier for Seniors
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Florida Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio are re-introducing the Seniors Tax Simplification Act.
The bill would create a one-page tax form for people 65 and older.
Many seniors aren't able to use the 1040-EZ tax form because it doesn't calculate their Social Security income.
The new form would allow them to work in their pensions, retirement plans, and Social Security.
A similar bill died in Congress last year.
Both Senators blame election year politics.
