The L.A. Kings' ice crew girls Ally and Ashley got iced out of The Amazing Race on Sunday, but that might not have happened had Amy not done Nicole's angklung-building Roadblock for her. "Seeing on TV how much Amy helped Nicole — she literally did it for her — was really frustrating," Ally tells TVGuide.com. "We could've had a shot." Are they mad that Amy might've cost them a spot in the final four? Find out below.

Amazing Race's Nicky and Kim: We didn't stand a chance after we got U-Turned

How far behind Nicole and Travis were you? Could you have beaten them if Amy didn't help Nicole?
Ally:
Absolutely. We only spent like 10 minutes at the Roadblock.
Ashley: Yeah, 100 percent. I walked into the arena and looked around, and you were able to communicate with the kids that were there. You'd put something together and they'd say, "Yes!" and if you did something wrong, they'd say, "No!" If Amy hadn't helped her, we definitely would've caught up, without a doubt. Nicole had been there, I think she said an hour, and she was completely clueless, so I think she would've still been stuck after I finished.

When you walked in, she was still helping Nicole. Did know then that she was helping her or did you just learn from watching the episode that she helped her?
Ally:
We saw Amy helping Nicole when we got there, but we didn't really know how much. Once they saw that we had arrived, Jay was like, "We need to get out of here!" So they took off shortly after, but Amy physically did it for her.

I think everyone's baffled that Amy actually built it for Nicole. Do you have any idea why she would stick around and risk her and Jason's safety to do it for Nicole?
Ally:
I think maybe she felt bad. Watching the show, it looked like Jay wanted Amy to verbally say how to do it. Nicole still had no idea how to do it after Amy told her, so Amy was nice and did it herself, which is frustrating because Nicole had no clue and Ashley did it on her very first try. So the outcome could've changed if she didn't help her.
Ashley: It took me a few minutes to figure it out. There was a larger scale diagram on top of the stage that I was looking at, and I was lucky enough where the kids near me were extremely helpful, which made it a lot more fun. But it took me about 10 minutes. We only left a couple minutes after Travis and Nicole.

Are you upset that Amy helped her?
Ally:
I understand verbally telling someone how to do something. If she only did that, it wouldn't be a big deal. And I wouldn't say that I'm necessarily upset, but the fact that Nicole also tried to cheat and look at Leo's model after he was done, that's a double whammy. I'm a little upset at that, but I'm not upset at Amy for helping.

Amazing Race's Tim and Danny: The singing caught everybody off-guard

Do you also find Travis and Nicole to be hypocritical? They prided themselves on running an "honest" Race for their kids and U-Turned the Afghanimals for lying.
Ally:
[Laughs] We would always back up the Afghanimals because we're truly great friends with them. The fact that [Travis and Nicole] were talking poorly about our alliance and she got so desperate that she literally tried to cheat and look at Leo's model and chase him around like a little monkey — that was hard to watch. I understand frustration when you really have no idea what you're doing, but you have to figure it out yourself and not cheat.

You lost a lot of time at the Detour by going to the zoo first and then taking two trips to get the sugar cane. Did the cabbie tell you that you couldn't put the sugar cane through the window or did you assume that it wasn't allowed?
Ashley:
We put the sugar cane in a couple different ways and when we put it through the window, he was a little apprehensive about it. As you saw, Jay was able to hold onto them on top of the car with his hand, but we wouldn't have been able to reach it. So it was either take another trip or find another taxi, but even to find that one taxi that agreed to let us put all that fruit in took us a while.

So it was luck of the draw? You had a cabbie who didn't want the cane stalks through the window.
Ashley:
Right. And the cab we actually took to the zoo the first time that had our backpacks was fine with the sugar canes. We should've just had him take us to where the fruit was. It was bad luck at the end of the day. We lost like an hour. We were running around the zoo for 30 minutes and we had to go to the fruit twice.

Did you not read the instructions when you went to the zoo first?
Ashley:
I think we over-read the instructions! [Laughs] We were reading it so phonetically and reading it over and over again to the point that we were like, "Does it say we can't take a taxi? It doesn't say that. Are we going to get penalized if we take a taxi?" We really over-analyzed the clue and missed the easy things.

Fall TV Report Card: How's the new class doing?

Did you ever consider switching to the birds after you realized you messed up and argued about it?
Ally:
[The birds] did seem to be the easier one. But we had finally figured out where we were going and we didn't know how far the birds was, and there was a lot of traffic in Indonesia and getting anywhere is a struggle. It would've been a risk just to switch once we already spent that much time on the elephant.
Ashley: And we blew up for that second and then we calmed down and realized, "OK, we need to get it together. We're stressed. We're tired, we're hot, and it doesn't help." Knowing that we were in first and we fell back to last, it was a mixture of so many things that hit the boiling point for us. But that fight was very brief.

What are you up to now? Back on the rink?
Ally:
We are in the midst of our season for the Kings, so Ashley and I are both out there skating during the Kings' home games. We're busy girls. We're back to the busy L.A. life.
