Water makes traction difficult, and your decking and surrounding pool surfaces are all subject to it. However, as a pool owner, you should remind guests and family members to be aware of the surface and resist the impulse to run near the pool. You may also want to investigate products to attach to high traveled areas which seem constantly wet, for example ladder and stair areas. Algae growth on surfaces can also create a slick surface.
