Exclusive: Watch Oscar the dog sing on tonight's final 'AGT' auditions

Simon Cowell may finally have gotten the act he's long sought on NBC's "America's Got Talent":  a singing dog.

"I've done this show a long time, and I've always said if we could find a dog that could sing, that would be everything to me," Cowell tells Pam, who accompanied her singing dog on piano, in an exclusive clip from Tuesday's final audition episode (8 EDT/PDT).

Cowell seems smitten from the start, telling Pam that her three-year-old golden retriever is "adorable." The studio audience falls for the 3-year-old dog, too, joining in a loud "Awww!" when Oscar decides to lie down as Cowell talks to Pam.

Pam tells Cowell that Oscar started singing about 18 months ago, joining her as she played piano. "Then I worked with him and now he really sings," she says.

But how good is he? As Pam began playing "Pachelbel's Canon," a classical piece often played at weddings, Oscar joins in singing/howling.

Cowell smiles, apparently impressed, and surprised host Tyra Banks assesses the performance: "He's on key!" Viewers will have to wait until Tuesday's episode to find out if Oscar has enough judges' votes to move on to the next round.
