Hear Greta Van Fleet's new single: 'When the Curtain Falls'

A year after Greta Van Fleet roared to national rock notice, the Michigan band has issued something new for hungry fans.

“When the Curtain Falls” was released overnight by the Detroit-based band, providing the first glimpse into the group’s forthcoming debut album.

The new single is perhaps the most straightforward, accessible tune of the young band’s public career, with a bobbing groove, hooky riff and lyrics taking on the shallowness of the Hollywood scene.

“When the Curtain Falls” is part of an album recorded since January in Royal Oak and Nashville. The record is due later this year from Lava/Universal, following a flurry of 2017 music that included the EP “Black Smoke Rising” and its chart-topping rock-radio songs “Highway Tune” and “Safari Song.”

Greta Van Fleet has blown up as quickly as any hard-rock band in recent years, with sellout shows across North America and Europe.
