JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded early Saturday morning to a person shot on the 500 block of W. Forsyth St., in Downtown Jacksonville.

Officers say they arrived at the scene and found the victim in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the lower part of the body. 

The victim was transported to UF Health Jacksonville and was reported to be in stable condition.

Witnesses were detained and the Violent Crimes Task Forms continues to investigate.

With the number of thugs per square mile in Jacksonville and the leniency of its justice system, this will never change. This type of report is not even news anymore.
