JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Landing had something for everyone: Live music, plenty of food and sweet treats, Water fun for the kids to splash around in but there's one thing mostly all spectators come out for.
"I'm looking forward to the fireworks," said spectator Emmeline Oliver.
Two barges full of them erupted tonight, kicking off the biggest and brightest fireworks display yet, according to city leaders.
So big, one couple traveled almost 150 miles from Savannah, Georgia, just to see it!
"I just want to see if it's a lot bigger, more explosions, people oohing and ahhhing and plus we'll be on the 14th floor of the Hyatt so we'll probably just open the window and see it from there," said Cory Smith.
A great view from the top, but it's even better from the water. Local boaters secured their spot early Thursday morning, and aren't letting the "no grill rule" get in their way.
"I abide by the rules. We got the flameless grill that way we can cook, be legal, not start any fires because I don't want to sink," said John Ribak.
