JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- All lanes of Kernan Blvd. are back open after a woman was hit by a vehicle and critically injured.
JSO Detective J.D. Gregory reports the woman and another person were riding in a vehicle traveling Northbound on Kernan Blvd when they got in an argument. Police said the driver pulled over and the woman got out. She tried crossing the Southbound lanes and that's when she was hit by another vehicle, according to JSO.
Det. Gregory reports he does not believe alcohol was involved. He says the woman was taken to UF Health with life-threatening injuries. He reports the driver is okay.
The investigation is ongoing.
