Beloved football coach honored at First Coast High
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Lights flickered in the dark Sunday to honor a beloved coach at First Coast High.
Students, alumni, friends and family lit candles to celebrate coach Mark Timlman's life and the contributions he made to the school and the students.
He was head JV and Assistant Football Coach. The team was undefeated for two years with Tillman at the helm.
He died of liver disease just a few weeks ago. Those who knew and loved him say this was the perfect way to honor his memory.
Tillman's wife Jennifer says the support her family has received from the school is helping them get through the tough time.
