Bicyclist dies after St. Augustine hit and run
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A bicyclist is dead after a hit-and-run crash in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
St. Johns County Fire and Rescue tells Action News that an animal control officer noticed the bicyclist down on the road but there were no other people or vehicles around.
Randy Miller, 45, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died, according to UF Health Jacksonville.
SJCFR calls the incident "suspicious."
The Florida Highway Patrol and the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office are conducting the crash investigation.
