JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A suspicious package in a Southside shopping center prompted an investigation by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office's bomb squad.

The item, which a witness described as a laptop computer case, was found near a trash can outside the Little Caesar's pizza shop. The area was evacuated, but no roads were closed.

Police determined the item was harmless.
