PALM COAST, Fla. -- A pair of teenagers is in trouble with the law after breaking into a Flagler County residence Friday and causing deputies to go on a two-county chase.
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office received a call Friday afternoon from a Palm Coast homeowner alerting them to burglars at her home on Ethan Allen Drive.
Upon arrival, deputies found out that the duo had escaped, but the homeowner was able to provide deputies with a detailed description of the getaway vehicle.
Deputies were able to track down the Yellow Mustang with the suspects inside but stopped the pursuit when speeds reached over 90 mph on Interstate 95.
The car was later found at a Volusia County Walmart where deputies say they arrested 18-year-old Michael O'hara Jones Jr. and 16-year-old Key'Shaun Ronald Eugene Martin Jr inside the store.
Both are being held in the Volusia County Jail on charges of burglary and grand theft.
Flagler County Sheriff James L. Manfre credits the homeowner in this case for helping deputies solve the crime.
"The homeowner proved to be a valuable resource, but we don't recommend that civilians attempt to chase burglars," said Sheriff Manfre.
