JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An "armed career criminal" will spend at least 15 years behind bars.

A federal jury found Willie Lee Daniels, 39, guilty of possession of a firearm by a felon. The Jacksonville man got into an argument with his girlfriend in October of 2009. Neighbors called police when she yelled for help. Police from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrived and he ran off, tossing the gun behind a building.

Because of his previous criminal history, Daniels was labeled as a career criminal. The maximum penalty for the crime is life in jail.

Feel sorry for the Guards. They have to listen to losers who will never get out of prison ever. And there is nothing they can do to a convict who won't ever get out. You can't give them more time when they act out or kill another convict. Prison is just a loud vacation spot.

That's a major step in curbing gun violence and happy to read this. When you take guns out of the hands of criminals and only allow good, law abiding citizens to own them it's sure to help reduce and eventually eliminate gun violence. Good job!
