SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -- A dance instructor who teaches in Orange and Seminole counties is in jail on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior.
Seminole County sheriff's investigators said Harrison Jonathan Prater, 27, of Orlando was arrested after being accused of inappropriately touching a teenage girl.
According to investigators, a 14-year-old student of Prater said he drove her and two other students home from a dance function in early October.
The girl told investigators that after dropping the first two girls at their homes, Prater took her to her house. She said when she and Prater arrived at her home he asked her for a hug. When she complied, she said Prater began kissing her and touching her inappropriately. He then asked her if she wanted to go down the street, to which she replied, "No," investigators said.
Investigators said that the girl told Prater she was only 14 years old.
According to investigators, the girl told them she was shocked and unsure what to do, but was able to get her belongings and get out of Prater's car.
Investigators said that after the girl told her mother what had happened, the sheriff's office was contacted.
Prater is charged with one count of lewd and lascivious behavior on a victim over 12. He was booked into the Seminole County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
Investigators said they are looking into the possibility of additional victims and are asking anyone with information to call the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at 407-665-6650.
According to investigators, Prater teaches dance at Elite Talent Productions on Orange Avenue in Orlando. They said he also teaches at other dance studios, including New Dimensions Dance Academy in Oviedo, Tutus on Broadway in Oviedo and Edge Dance in Lake Mary.
