JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- You're going to think I'm lying. Free smartphone cellphone service is true. It's what is known as a freemium business model. It's now available from a company called

Here's how it works. You buy a reconditioned Android from them for $99. Once you have the phone, you can have 200 anytime minutes a month, 500 text messages a month, and half a gigabyte
of data a month.

Why do they make that free? So that you'll get that phone and say, "You know I really need more."

So let's say you want unlimited calling and texting. Instead of paying nothing a month, you'll pay $10 a month. How cheap is that?

Let's say you end up using a lot of data that will cost you $18 a month. So you can actually run your bill all the way up to $28 a month for unlimited calling, unlimited texting, and a bunch of data.

Remember the web address, It's not the only new el cheapo coming out.

What kind of coverage? Won't do any good if you break down, need your phone and there is no service! Can't text, call or use internet in a dead zone.
