Corrections official: Ohio man who held 3 women captive for a decade has committed suicide

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio corrections officials say Ariel Castro who held three women captive in his home for nearly a decade has committed suicide at a state prison facility.

The news stated that he was suppose to be checked on every half hour. I think your right, FLSunrise, suicide watch is every 15 minutes.

he actually wasnt on suicide watch but in protective custody ( as im sure other inmates couldnt wait to tear that @$$ up! and rightfully so!!) HOWEVER my question is, who is really behind it? i doubt it was an actual suicide. My money is on one of the guards forcing him into this or simply hanging him from the highest part of his cell himself.

Heads will probably roll, how did he get away with this while on 'suicide watch' unless they let him? I guess I have a sadistic side, this coward should have spent the SAME time in prison as he kept his victims, THEN DIE. I would not have minded my tax dollars paying for that 10 years, just knowing he was being raped.

I love it when a plan comes together! Saves the taxpayers food/lodging for this POS, but also puts a finality to those poor women's ordeal.
