JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Constant rain from Tropical Storm Debby is causing car wrecks and flooded roads across Northeast Florida.

"It's pretty hectic -- hard to get around town. A lot of people are broken down, blocking roads," says John Jansen, with Adams Towing.

Jansen says he's been busy, rescuing stranded drivers. Many of them chose to ignore road closures and drive through flooded streets.

Homes along Pritchard Road on the Westside were surrounded by flood water that had spilled over from the road.

With more rain expected throughout the week, the City of Jacksonville is getting prepared.

"We're trying to make sure drains are cleared out and water goes where it needs to be," says Mayor Alvin Brown.
