Deputies investigating remains found in Ponte Vedra
PONTE VEDRA, Fla. -- Deputies say they are investigating remains that were found in South Ponte Vedra on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, representatives from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation found the remains in Guana Park.
A controlled burn was scheduled today when the remains were found, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said robbery and homicide detectives are on the scene. Deputies said they haven't determined where the remains came from or whether they are human or animal.
