JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The preliminary investigation into the fire at an apartment complex at the St. Johns Town Center shows the fire to be an accident.
Investigators with the State Fire Marshal's Office and OSHA are at the scene today.
Damage to 5000 Town, a new luxury apartment complex under construction, is estimated to be around $80,000.

The exact cause of the fire won't be released until the report is finished, which is expected to take a couple of weeks.
JFRD spokesman Tom Francis told Action News on Tuesday that firefighters believe propane tanks on the rooftop caused the explosions. The tanks are part of a piece of construction equipment used to heat foam to build a rooftop deck. That equipment was likely used earlier in the day.
All Town Center stores and business are open and unaffected by the fire.
The developer told Action News it is hopeful the complex will open on time on June 1.
So far, no one has signed up to live in the complex. A marketing campaign is expected to be launched in the next couple of weeks.
