RALEIGH, N.C. (WSOC-TV) — At least five people, ages 14 to 39 years old, were rushed to the hospital Thursday night after an accident on the ride The Vortex at the N.C. State Fair in Raleigh.
Two people were seriously hurt, officials said.
The Vortex flips people around several times and upside down.
Preliminary reports indicated the ride stopped and when people were getting off The Vortex, it started again, said Sheriff Donnie Harris, Wake County.
The investigation is ongoing.
