JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- A life taken too soon. That's what Harold Davis Sr. is saying about his son.
"We're hurting. We're hurting bad. A lot of tears. Trying to remember the good times," Davis said.
According to police, 23-year-old Harold Davis was gunned down by his ex-girlfriend in broad daylight Sunday. His father says the couple met online and had some issues in their relationship. They broke it off seven months ago, but not without warning signs.
Davis claims Arianne Myles had social anxiety issues, stalked the younger Harold, and at times -- she was even violent.
"In retrospect, looking back, that probably really did mean something was wrong," he continued.
Harold Davis' boss at AT&T says he expressed those same sentiments to her.
"The only thing in the world that he was scared of was her. Yeah, that's what he told me last week at work," Alicia Culverhouse said.
Davis says his son tried to move on and was even engaged to someone else. We're told he was a computer and phone whiz, and loved concocting herbal medicine. He had plans to move away from Jacksonville, but that was cut short by a .45-caliber gun. Davis says he wants Myles to be punished for what she's accused of doing.
"I'd like to see her go to jail and stay there. I'd like her to have the rest of her life to think about what she did to my son. I hope she never gets out."
Myles had to be taken to Shands Hospital for minor injuries she sustained in a car accident. She was later booked and charged with murder.
