MIAMI, Fla.-- Two fathers bound by a pain no parent should ever have to feel; the fathers of Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis; met for the first time in Miami Sunday night. Both parents tell Action news they find comfort in seeing each other after they both lost their sons to senseless gun violence. They say they're bound by pain no parent should ever have to feel.

"It's definitely one of those fraternities that you wouldn't want to be a part of," said Martin. We didn't choose this road, and our kids didn't choose their fate but as God see it fit we are going to stand in the gap for them ."

The first meeting took place at a Remembrance dinner to benefit the Trayvon Martin Foundation, which seeks to amend Florida's Stand Your Ground law.

For father of Jacksonville teen, Jordan Davis, who police say was killed over playing loud music, meeting the Martins was far more important than meeting any celebrity in attendance, from Jamie Foxx to Cedric the Entertainer.

"Talking to them makes a difference because they say 'I know how you feel Ron,'" said Davis.

The families spoke of their sons and their similarities.

"God has our children and they're probably playing together right there I be they're playing together right now smiling at us," said Davis.

Now they say they'll work together to end gun violence.

"His fight is definitely not his fight alone it's not my fight alone and as fathers, proud fathers of two beautiful young men we're in this together we're in it for the long haul," said Martin.

It's a brotherhood they say can't be broken by any distance and will only be strengthened as they fight together for Trayvon and Jordan.

Too bad these 'dad's' didn't 'come together' for their kids before it was too late. THAT'S WHEN THEY NEEDED IT. Not now. TOO BAD they are trying to make this a black and white thing, and to launch an assault through OBama to strip us our right own guns. THEY didn't fight for any of their KIDS when a white President was in there, AND THEY ARE STILL KILLING THEMSELVES OFF MORE THAN EVER. They are a disgruntled 'bunch' who wants to blame EVERYONE else for the injustices of our Fathers instead of getting THE MENTAL HEALTH HELP that is sorely needed in this Country.

The two fathers are starting foundations off of the death of their kids. Now they will not have to work another day in their life..What is realy bad is both of these kids probably brought this on themself...Neither case has been to court yet so we do not know who is telling the truth..If they want to help. Why don't they try to teach their kids not to act like thugs...( it might be that they are spiking the football to early)
