EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - The Jacksonville Jaguars dropped a second preseason game falling to the New York Jets 37-13. Blaine Gabbert led the Jags to a 13-10 halftime lead but Jacksonville was unable to score in the final 30 minutes.

Gabbert ended the night 13-16 passing for 165 yards and a touchdown but also left with his immediate future in question. The Jags quarterback sprained his thumb on his final play of the night hitting a Jets defensive lineman while throwing an incompletion. X-rays were negative on the thumb but if and how long Gabbert will be out remains in question.

On the other end of the spectrum it was the return for Maurice Jones-Drew, ten months since his last football game. Jones-Drew carried the ball just three times for nine yards but did catch a pass in the flat and took it 20 yards to set up the Jags first score. Jones-Drew participated in the preseason game to get a look at the tempo of the new Jags offense.

The Jaguars return home next Saturday night to host the Philadelphia Eagles.

sorry to say it's been the same old story for year's. losing year after year, but the poor fan's are paying top dollar for watching this. i'm just using my freedom of speech.if you want to pay all that money to see them, all well and good. have a good time there. you fan's deserve better, isn't it about time you are getting your money's worth. if I go someplace and do not get good service I complain. I don't sit back. but sitting there and watching them have a good time laughing and carrying on when they are getting there butt's kicked is is what you fan's deserve. after all they are making hundred's and thousand's for 6 month's work. it seem's to be the same story every year. it's about time they put a winning team on the field for the fan's.i'm not going to spend that kind of money on a bunch of player's that play for a paycheck instead of the fan's he has the money so clean out the dead wood and spend it on proven player's. have a good time at the game osprey 1. I mean no harm. just tired of seeing them lose year after year with the same excuse's.

Why don't you guys cut the Jags some slack, these players are still juggling for position and what string they'll be on. The coach hasn't picked who's playing where yet and were not in the regular season until next month. I for one have seen improvements from last year and I've also seen the same bunch of arm chair couch potatoes running there jealous mouths. The reason I call you jealous is because those players are on the field and "your not", apparently they were good enough to make the team while you guys sat on the couch complaining.

babby impresse's? you got to be kidding me.!! only scoring 13 point's. looking like a bunch of kitten's. the announcer's calling the game said if a lot of time's. if they catch the ball, which they did not. if the defense show's how they really are, inept. giving up 27 point's while not scoring in the second half. no wonder the dolphin's got rid of henne. he is a 4th string q-back at most. gabby get's a little hurt and say's I can't play with a little boo-boo. one thing for sure the fan's deserve better but they like loser's,and spending there hard earned on on high priced food and beer. I can think of better way's to spend all that on money on something worth while.i'll never spend a penny on them for sure. good commentary old dog.

Well another game and another way for the Jaguars to show how little they deserve to be called an NFL team. In fact from what I saw, there was little change from the day’s of Jack D’s leadership, or the lack there of. Over a 100 yards in penalties, a defense nowhere to be found and a loss to a team we should have at least been able to maintain a competitive score with but sadly that wasn’t even close to what happened, as the Jaguars got their butts kicked, as the fans of this city have come to expect. Fact is, yes I saw some good plays from the offense but not enough to make this team look like anything other than a joke, a joke I can no longer laugh at. Yes you can win a few battles but if you loose the war, then those battles mean nothing, as we saw in last night‘s game. If in the next two weeks we don’t see a vast improvement in both ball control, scoring and ending the costly penalties, then I for one am ending my support for the Jaguars, as only a fool would support a team of total losers, which in my opinion is what the Jaguars appear to be.
