JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert Sunday for Onnika Fisher, the 6-year-old Jacksonville girl abducted by her mother on Friday.
In an email, the GBI tells Action News sister station WSB-TV that "The most we can say right now is that investigative leads show she is in Georgia."
Georgia's Amber Alert is also known as "Levi's Call."
Onnika Fisher is 6 years old. Police say she is 3 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 53 pounds.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says Fisher was abducted by her mother, Charity Chatman, who does not have legal custody of the girl. Police say Chatman used the promise of a gift to lure Fisher into her car at the end of a visit supervised by a case worker, working under contract to the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Police say Chatman is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. Police say she is driving a dark green 2000 Buick Century with a special Ohio Bicentennial license plate, number FPA 4958.
