Girlfriend convicted of killing boyfriend by car
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The woman accused of killing her boyfriend along Interstate 10 in 2011 with her car was found guilty Thursday of manslaughter.
A jury convicted Vonice Charelle Green, 43, of one count of manslaughter after prosecutors proved without a reasonable doubt that she ran down her boyfriend.
Investigators say Green and the victim had been in an argument while driving westbound on I-10 out of Jacksonville.
After the boyfriend left the car, car at a stop, Green then struck him and left him for dead at the scene.
Green now faces up to 30 years in prison and is expected to be sentenced Dec. 6.
