JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The First Coast Manufacturers Association tells Mayor Alvin Brown to turn street lights back on to protect workers and the public.

Recently, the city decided to turn off those lights in the industrial areas of the city to save money.

The group sent a letter to Mayor Alvin Brown pointing out that there's plenty of funds to keep them on. In January, the mayor announced the city would be spending $11 million for city development, most of which would be go toward development of the downtown area.
