JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The very chilly day will lead into a frigid night. A Hard Freeze Warning is posted for inland counties in NE Florida and SE Georgia with a Freeze Warning covering Nassau, Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Putnam, Camden and Glynn County until 9am Monday morning. Wind chills won’t be much of a problem for tonight, but heavy frost will form by early Monday. Protect your pets and plants from this extreme cold as lows dip into the mid to upper 20s across the area.
Otherwise, warmer weather is finally around the corner with some 70s showing up in the next couple of days. Expect milder conditions on Monday with mostly sunny skies, but a bit of rain early Wednesday morning.
