DARE COUNTY, NC – Beloved actor Andy Griffith has passed away.
The iconic TV star died at his North Carolina home Tuesday morning.
Griffith was best known for his role as Sheriff Andy Taylor in “The Andy Griffith Show,” which ran from 1960 to 1968.
Griffith also starred in another TV favorite, "Matlock."
No word yet on a cause of death.
Griffith was 86 years old.
