JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- He saw something and he said something. Jacksonville Beach runner and CEO David Green snapped a photo Of the Boston bombings on his iPhone just feet away from the explosions.
"It was like boom just kind of hit back," he said. "You just feel a sound wave hit you and then there was just mass panic that broke out."
After taking the picture he says he ran into a bloody crowd of injured people to help.
"I couldn't really help in the way that I wanted to. [I] was very helpless," he said.
He couldn't help until late Thursday night, when the local businessman took a second glance at his photo and realized he clearly captured suspect number two 19-year old, Dzhokhar Tzarnaev.
Green immediately sent the image to the FBI huge help to the investigation.
"My sense was it was the best that they had and that's why it went all across the airwaves," he said.
Some may call him a hero but the Jacksonville Beach neighbor says he's just a regular guy who happened to be in the right place at the right time.
"I don't think ill ever forget what I saw," he said.
