Jacksonville Jaguars name Publix as major sponsor
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars named Publix Super Markets as the team's newest sponsor at a press conference Saturday at EverBank Field.
Publix will now be known as the ‘official supermarket of the Jaguars.’
Jaguars General Manager Dave Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley were on hand for the announcement.
“We are thrilled to have Publix join the Jaguars family,” said Jaguars Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Scott Massey. “Publix is a great brand and a highly respected part of our community.”
Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. was previously the Jaguars' major retail partner. Their sponsorship expired and was not renewed in recent months.
Publix is based out of Lakeland, Fla., and has more than 1,000 stores in six states.
The Jaguars say the new partnership is a 5 year deal.
