JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- This season, Jags fans are the center of attention. "There's a freshness a newness an attitude that's different than what we've had and that's a good thing," says Senior Vice President Dan Edwards.
Besides a new sound system in the stadium and the fact that fans can choose to bring their own food to the game, there are a few other changes too.
Even the introduction of the team got a makeover. "The team is actually walking through the fans before they're introduced on the field. A lot of things that we want to bring the fans closer and want to make their experience better," says Edwards.
Another new feature, this Sunday the Jags will introduce the Sea Best Cool Zone. The cool zone features air conditioned cooling benches, misting fans, and cold drinks. "When the games are at one o'clock on Sunday and it's hot and the suns beating down.. to give fans the opportunity to cool off," he says.
Also throughout the season, home games will honor someone in the community. When the Jags play Cincinnati on September 30th, they will honor Fred Taylor. And there will be a military appreciation game also. "There's a newness and a freshness about the team and I think it's rejuvenate the fan base a little bit too. And that's what we're looking forward to seeing," he says.
