JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed first-year fullback Will Ta’ufo’ou from their practice squad and waived wide receiver Carlton Mitchell. Mitchell had been signed as a free agent on Wednesday.
Ta’ufo’ou, 26, has been with the Jaguars since Sept. 1, spending the first seven weeks on the practice squad before joining the active roster Nov. 3. He played in the past three games but was waived earlier this week and re-signed to the practice squad. The former California Golden Bear is 5-11, 247 pounds.
Ta’ufo’ou will wear jersey number 45.
