Jaguars cut running back Montell Owens

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have released veteran running back Montell Owens.

Owens, a two-time special teams pro bowler, had been with the Jaguars for seven years.  He played in 104 games after earning a roster spot as a rookie free agent in 2006.

He owns the franchise record for career special teams tackles with 118.

Owens probably voiced an opinion to Caldwell and was cut...wouldn't surprise me at all.
