JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Logan Bradshaw had his entire life planned out.
He had a football scholarship, a military career, and a long and happy life.
It appears he may get that now, thanks to one moment on the football field.
Logan played center for the Eagle's View Academy football team on the Westside.
He took a big hit and was knocked out. He couldn't remember plays, he just saw stars.
Logan suffered a concussion. Usually, it's not a good thing.
His coaches sent him to doctors for testing. Those tests likely saved his future.
Doctors diagnosed Logan with a brain condition known as chiari malformation that could have paralyzed him for life.
Though the condition is rare, paralysis became a real possibility. Logan needed surgery.
"On one hand its a little sad that this guy came in with his future planned out and gets a diagnosis that may change those things -- other hand hopefully its going to be a happy ending," said Logan's doctor.
The surgery was a success. Logan was able to go home and, soon after, return to school.
Logan says he's dreaming again about the footall scholarship. His mom remains nervous about the idea but says she'll let him play until someone says no.
Logan is back on track with his dream of serving in the military, if they'll have him.
The concussion that had Logan Bradshaw seeing stars might have given this teenager a chance to "still be a star" someday.
