Main Street Bridge reopens after meth lab discovery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two people were arrested after police responded to a transient camp and found an active meth lab near the Main Street Bridge.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's office responded about 2:20 p.m. to a wooded area near Main Street and Prudential Drive.

Officers found two people cooking meth. The JSO bomb squad and hazmat teams responded.

Traffic had been diverted from the Main Street Bridge as a precaution but the bridge is now open.

Police arrested James Paul Jackson and Ernest Tutton on charges of making meth.
