Man gets 25-year sentence for stealing Christmas decorations

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man is expected to spend the next 25 years in prison after a burglary conviction.

Leon Young Bonner, 50, was sentenced for breaking into a home on Ivy Street back in February of 2011. A neighbor saw Bonner run out of the home with a bag of Christmas decorations and a rug.

Bonner is a five time convicted felon.

The end of the story says "five time convicted felon.". Sounds like a lot to me.

I know stealing is wrong...but unless this guy had A LOT of priors, this sentence is too harsh.
