PALM COAST, Fla. -- The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Sunday morning shooting that left a man injured with a gunshot wound to the face.

Deputies responded to the Pine Hill Lane neighborhood after receiving multiple calls of
shots being fired around 3:00 a.m.

According to investigators, a birthday party with as many as 75-100 people in attendance was being held in the Flagler County neighborhood when gunshots rang out.

Deputies say 19-year-old Johnnie Thomas Jr., of Bunnell, was shot once in the face during the gunfire.  He was driven to Florida Hospital Flagler where he was treated and later released.

“This was a reckless act of violence which endangered the lives of many. Incidents such as this
need to stop before innocent lives are lost.” said Flagler County Sheriff James L. Manfre.

Investigators interviewed several people at the party Sunday.  They say they are looking for more witnesses.

Anyone with information that may assist investigators in this case is asked to Flagler County’s Persons Crimes Unit at 386-586-4844 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477). You may remain anonymous and you could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
