Man stabbed to death outside Starke motel
STARKE, Fla. -- Police responded to a 911 call and found a stabbing victim laying outside of the Magnolia Hotel Sunday morning.
Officers say they swarmed the 100 block of Walnut Street to find Starke resident Quinton Maurice Epps dead at the scene.
A K-9 unit did not locate a suspect.
Shortly after the search the Stephen Lamont Early Jr., 20, contacted police, acknowledged being the original 911 caller, and admitted to the murder, according to the Starke Police Department.
Officers took the suspect into custody.
They say they recovered a steak knife as well.
The initial investigation points to a domestic dispute.
Early remains in the Bradford County Jail awaiting his next court appearance.
