CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- The missing mothers and their three children in Green Cove Springs have now been found safe in North Carolina. The Clay County Sheriff's Office issued an alert Saturday for 23-year-old Brittany Miller-Leichty and 34-year-old Thelma Leichty along with their children 6-year-old Alexzander Rogers, 7-year-old Kelly Barnard and 13-year-old Caitlyn Barnard.

CCSO says the group was last seen on January 30, 2013. The Sheriff's Office says the women's husbands contacted them saying they were concerned for their welfare and that of the three children between them.

Late Saturday deputies located the family in Wilmington, North Carolina. Deputies are now working to learn more information about why the family disappeared.

Action News has learned, DCF investigated the family earlier this week, prior to the family being reported as missing. A DCF spokesman could not comment on the nature of the investigation.

sounds more like a divorce or seperation & the husbands used dcf to harass the wives 1st & when they went on vacation to avoid having to deal with those incompetent people,, the husbands used the sheriff's office to further harass the women.. as for making anyone pay,, the women didn't request anyone to call the law,, the husbands did !!! adults over legal age don't need anyone's permission to simply pick up & hit the road !!! the law needs a further look at the 2 marriages & a real close look at the husbands,, & d.c.f. needs to realize when it is being used to harrass a person, or persons !!!
