JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- He has become the face of the franchise, and a go-to-guy. After a 38-day holdout Maurice Jones-Drew is back. "It's great that he is back," said Mary Webb.
"It's great for Jaguar fans. It's great for the team," said Jarrod Olson.
"He is not a team player," said John Latten.
Fans couldn't cheer Jones-Drew on during the preseason. And now that they can, some say they won't. "The Jaguars are doing fine without him. He missed the entire preseason and all the practices," said Latten.
"He is one of the top five running backs in the league. Yeah, he definitely deserved more money," said Brad Burnnan.
"He is a running back. They have a short tenure in the NFL," said Olson.
"Now it's going to add another weapon to our offense," said Justin McCoy. McCoy at Sports Mania says MoJo doesn't just help the Jaguars score, he helps their bottom line too. "He is probably our number one seller," said McCoy.
Fans will have to wait at least another two weeks to see MoJo start. Rashad Jennings will be starting in the season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
