PALATKA, Fla. -- Deputies raided the Economy Inn Friday and arrested Elizabeth Torres for using the hotel as an operational base for drugs according the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say they found marijuana and related drug paraphernalia during the raid.

“We will continue to investigate complaints of drug activity in our community and we will take necessary action to prevent it," said Sheriff Jeff Hardy.

Torres was booked into the Putnam County Jail on charges of Selling Marijuana, Selling Prescription Medication, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Drug Dwelling.  Bond was at $11,520.00.

Do the crime - do the time. no one said you have to be smart to become a criminal, just lack of respect for laws, law enforcement officers, and others. The requirements to become a criminal: there is no quota system, no special color, race, gender, or creed.......just disrespect for others. If our prisons have a majority of individuals in one of these other groups, it is a reflection of what their parents DID NOT teach them.
