Nassau County preparing for Beryl's arrival
NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. -- Nassau County Emergency Management is urging residents to take precautions for the expected severe weather from Subtropical Storm Beryl.
Emergency Management Director Danny Hinson says there are no mandatory evacuations or general population shelters at this time, but that could change depending on the storm.
Hinson announced all Nassau County beaches are closed Sunday and he urged businesses to be mindful of the winds which could make crossing the bridge hazardous later in the day.
Hinson says Emergency Management is working with the Sheriff's Office to determine if any bridge closure should occur.
