Old St. Augustine Road closed for hours near I-295 because of crash
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded to a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.
A police officer saw a vehicle crash near the intersection of Oldfield Crossing Road around 3:20 a.m., according to JSO.
The vehicle was heading southbound on Old St. Augustine Road before it crashed, police said.
This crash caused a large concrete pole to fall on Old St. Augustine Road, according to JSO. They expect the road to reopen around noon.
Traffic was shut down between Oldfield Crossing Road and Loretto Road, police said. Lanes were opened up around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries.
There was also a power outage from Losco Road to I-295.
