Pilot makes emergency landing on river for bathroom break
PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- The Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission says a sea plane landed on the St. Johns River, just north of Palatka around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
Neighbors grew concerned that it was an emergency, and officials from the Florida Highway Patrol and Palatka Fire Department responded. It was later determined not to be an emergency and both people on board the plane were found safe.
The FWC says the pilot landed the plane to use the bathroom.
