JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Police arrested a local man in two separate attacks on women.
Police say Michael Lourcey attacked a jogger earlier this year in Timberlin Parc, hit her over the head and tried to drag her into the woods.
Bell Carol says Lourcey hit her over the head too and then sexually battered her. "I begged on my hands and knees. I begged for my life. Please don't kill me," said Carol.
Carol doesn't want to hide her face as a sexual assault victim. She wanted to share her story with Action News because she's a survivor. "I don't want anyone to go through what I'm going through," said Carol.
Carol is homeless and living outside a vacant building. She met Lourcey early in the day March 14th. She says he seemed normal. "No red flags at all," she said.
She told Action News how Lourcey attacked her from behind. "He hit me over the head with it. The first hit sent me into shock. The second hit was hard," said Carol. "I could see people going by. Nobody could see me. There was no help."
We went to Lourcey's parents' home. His mom opened the door, only after we turned off the camera. She told Action News she was sorry this happened and they had no idea what was going on.
JSO says Lourcey was also on probation for a robbery out of New York state. They are working with that agency to see if they have any cases like the two Lourcey is connected to in Jacksonville. Lourcey is in jail, charged with armed sexual battery, aggravated battery, and kidnapping.
