JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police say a local woman who needed rent money took it from work.

Police arrested Branisha Lee on fraud charges.

Investigators say she had a scam going at JCPenney where she worked as a store clerk. Police say she'd ring up a customer and print off a gift receipt. She'd then issue a refund for the gift receipt and pocket the money.

The police report shows Lee did over 30 refunds in about a month's time, totaling $2,600.

Lee told police she needed the money to help pay her rent. The day of her arrest, police say she did three refunds for more than $400 and gave the money to her sister.
