JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A local woman is missing and police suspect foul play.

Tara Gean Hawkins, 33, hasn't been seen since leaving work last Friday, around 7:00 at night.

Hawkins works as a waitress at Emperors, a gentleman's club on University Boulevard, near Phillips Highway.

Police say she may be riding a blue-green cruiser type bicycle. Hawkins may also be suffering from a brain injury from a previous accident.

Her uncle in Arkansas called police after he had not heard from her.

Hawkins' dog was found all alone in her room at an extended stay motel on Baymeadows Road. The manager says he is caring for the dog while police search for Hawkins.

"I think it's terrible," says neighbor, Ashley Welch. "I hope she gets found safe."

If you have any information that can help police, all Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS. You will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to an arrest.
