EAST PALATKA, Fla. -- Putnam County law enforcement agents got more than they bargained for during the raid of an East Palatka home.

A warrant was enforced Wednesday morning for three men: William Cribbs, Charles Blackwelder Jr. and Raymond Sapp. Police say two suspects were apprehended quickly, but the third (Cribbs) scaled a fence before SWAT subdued him.

Police say several items taken from recent Palatka burglaries were found at the home.

In total, 23 people lived on the property (11 children), some in a tent and sheds in the backyard, police say, and the conditions were horrid. The children were removed and the house has been condemned, police say.

Seven others are being charged with child neglect.

I can understand arresting men that might been committing crime. The part that makes me think we live in new facist society is the condemming the home. Taking the children could be as punishment for something else. Seem to recall that our state likes to take "anti-government" people children as punishment for bad behavior, such as protesting. Nothing to see here people move on or ELSE! We might have to look into your situation as well if you ask to many questions or stare to long.
